In poe's "The Masque of Red Death" How much time elapses between the siezure and termination of the disease?

One witching hour between Prospero and the last of the revellers? Actaully it say the clock died with last victim. They died nearly instantaneously. In essence the party killer destroys time when you would think the Plague would be more lingering, but time literally ran out the clock and its presages of marked doom were no longer needed.

Actually, I have the story right here and I'll quote what it says about the time. "And the whole seizure, progress and termination of the diease, were the incidents of half an hour." so sorry P.E. Murphy, you're wrong.

The story covers a period of approximately six months during the reign of the Red Death.
