I found this website of interest. Perhaps others may also. An organization about protecting, planting and propagating big trees. Also has a very good article on topsoil conservation.

Thanks much for that site. I nominated the champ white oak in PA - but it's not on there. I'm "working on WV now, and there's none on there yet.
