I'm new can someone help me?

Hi I've been searching for a long time on how to play a region 2 on my sony DVP-S560D. I found cracks but they arent right I was wondering if anyone can assist me...I ordered a DVD from the UK and with the customs charge it cost me almost $70 for one CD...crazy huh...any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you wasted your money. I'm not aware of any cracks for any Sony DVD players. DVD players by major manufacturers like Sony typically require hardware work, not software cracks, to put them in multi-region mode. Most likely you will have to buy another DVD player, like an Apex or Sampo, that truly can be cracked with a firmware update to be multi-region. Should you ever get a multi-region player, do yourself a favor and buy your region 2 DVDs from www.amazon.co.uk. You'll get a much better deal than the awful price you paid.

Or go to HongKong on holiday like I did and while at it pick up at Fortress a JVC XV62 progressive-scan DVD player that plays everything in every region (except DVD-A and SACD, sorry), including MP3s.
