Hey, a near miss!

Well, well, here we are worrying about an emerging police state, terrorists, politicians, and this one sneaks right under the radar.

I read that a meteorite the size of a 747 nearly collided with earth a couple of days ago. According to the story I read on msn internet news, the object came as close as 288,000 miles, which is really close when we are speaking about the universe. It wouldn't have been the doomsday situation, but the equivalent of a nuclear bomb somewhere on this planet.

The reason it got so close without detection, according to the story, was that it came from behind the sun, so to speak, and we didn't detect it before it passed us by.

One of these days, we aren't going to be so lucky. Scary.

My personal feeling is that God, who put the planets in motion, holds us, so to speak in the palm of His hand. I've never been the least bit concerned with the workings of the universe going wrong. It is only our going wrong that worries me.

I agree that God has things in control, however in Revelations it says that there is a star call Wormwood that will hit earth and make the waters bitter (Posion). Something to think on. However I am of the belief that the Christians will be raptured before that. In his Service dale
