Viet Vet site

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I was just introduced to this site: www.vva.org; there is major info about agent orange laws and other bills pending that consern the Viet Nam era veteran. This is a nationally orentated organization, chartered by congress. They offer services such as life insurance and credit cards from a non profit stand point, and offer assistance to veterans for fileing claims, finding houseing, ect.

Thanks Mitch, I'll have to check it out.

Thanks, Mitch! My dad served three tours in 'Nam and is now experiencing some medical problems that no doctors have been able to diagnose. I have been wondering if it could be caused by agent orange and was planning to start investigating. This site sounds like a place to start.

Deena, sorry to hear about your father. Many vets manifest systems years after their service has ended.

Here's another site

www.va.gov/facilities find your state and click on it will bring up all categories of service provided in your state.

Every Veteran of US Armed Forces should be treated with dignity and compassion and provided whatever services are required to keep or bring him/her to good health and comfortable life.

We'll keep your father in our prayers.

Wishing You a Blessed Day
