Karen, how is your town doing tonight?

Was justing to do a post on this to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. We are doing great. The rain ceased for yesterday except for some sprinkles and the waters are down. Almost all the roads are open again! I have no doubt that it was the power of prayer...listen to this one:

The worst spot was a small river (well, more like a stream) with a brand new bridge over it. It is the main road in to town and just off the interstate. I would say from the water to the road was about 50 ft. at least. Well, during the rains you could not tell where the road even was. The water gushing through there looked like the Mississippi river and had flooded all the fields and was so wide it was coming into our town area. It was just on brink of flooding a church. Well, today you can't even tell water was ever above the bridge! It just all went away! Even in the fields...they just look wet! We have a mighty God! I know they are still getting hit hard who have not been as fortunate as we were. We also have lots more rain coming in so please continue to pray for all.

Thanks again for your concerns. It means a lot to have friends you can turn to!

Hello Terri,

Here in the Ozarks we have had about six inches of rain in the last three days. There is a bit of flooding here and there. I tried to go to a job this morning and was forced back home because the only road to Mountain Grove had two foot of water across the first bridge. Oh well, I just rescheduled the job for Friday. And as long as the weather holds out, I should make it then!

Sincerely,

Ernest

That's good! I heard on the news you got 3 more inches-must have been your neighbors!
