Why is it our boy hates to be touched on his head? All our other breeds seemed to like it. Our Boy Beau, will duck under the hand, if possible. I try to remember not to do it, but his head reaches my hand, and I absently pat it when he comes in, etc. It is no different, when last he was groomed or the length of the hair on his head. He reminds me of a teenager that does not want to be hugged or touched anymore. To our knowledge, he has never banged/injured his head. He doesn't mind me combing it... in fact, he likes it most of the time.

Re grooming; the only thing he 'really hates' is brush his tail, no matter how careful or short the hair. Is this because of docking?
