OK so I am off to a good start .One of my new does was fine one mornining , on afternoon check her head was twisited to the side. She is no better this am .Hubby will do her in tonight. I really think she ran into the cage and injured herself .She still wants to eat and drink , just really can't .Any other ideas on a cause ?

Wry Neck, usually a bactrerial infection, middle ear. Have heard it also can be caused by ear mites. No cures. Cull

Did more reading and found that , but also found it has been cured .I Talked to the vet and he has treated it with success. I will try it and see.I've read baytril and a few other things .I am going to go back and re read and take them to the vet .I'll keep you up dated.I really thought stiff neck as she did hit the cage head on yesterday .

As usual, the "cure" depends greatly on identification of the cause. I've cured bucks with Wry Neck with simple Prednisone and when Baytril had no effect. Meanwhile, Baytril is being banned from use for meat animals. Unless the rabbit is valuable to your breeding program, I would strongly recommend just culling it.

In the event you have the financial means and desire to pursue a cure, please visit this web site: Barbi Brown's Wry Neck Page at: http://www.barbibrownsbunnies.com/ecuniculi.htm
