New Quilt project update.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Would it be a problem for people interested in the New Quilt project to check under "New Quilt Project update" on the Cooking and Crafts" forum-that way we won't be tying up space for people who are not interested and (most importantly) I'll only have to type everything in once. Thanks!

How do you get to that page? I am a wet-behind-the-ears green novice to quilting. We do Civil War reenactments and I want to learn to quilt, so I have something to do, other than look terribly uncomfrotable in my corset. I have sites that sell repro fabrics that are priod correct a a few quilt books, but they don't answer questions...I'm confused and haven't started, too afraid to leave yet another unfinished project.

Hey Wendy-look at the top of this page and you will see LUSENET in caps-click on that. It will take you to the list of Forums-there a picture of a bunch a goats. Then scroll down and you will see ACTIVE Forums (something like that) Scroll down again and you will come to the listing Cooking and Crafts- the forums are listed in Alphabetical order, C and C is 8 or 9 above Countryside.

Do you have any sewing skills at all? Then you can quilt! If not, we can still help you out if you are interested. Warning-quilting IS addictive!

Corsets are uncomfortable arn't they? I'm amazed women put up with them as long as they did, but of course, If I had lived then, I probably would have put up with them too. Make sure they are not too tight! Also, don't be surprised if after a while they begin to feel a little loose-you adjust to them if you wear them very much.
