I'm looking for a V35 focomat in VGC or better. color module or B&W. Does anyone have one for sale in the U.S.

Karl,

I would recommend the Vario Contrast module over the straight B&W module. It makes life much easier for printing on multigrade paper. Sorry - I don't have a V35 for sale. I too have been looking for a V35 over the last few months. Prices have ranged from $700 - $1200 on eBay. The few examples I have seen being sold used in camera shops tend to run between $1500 - $2000. Good luck!

I have what you seek. V35, B&W-VC head and its original Leica lens. Multiple film carriers. Even the instruction book. All in beautiful condition. I had to give it up when I added Medium format to my gear. Not enough room in my dark room for my Kaiser 6x9 and the Leica. I bought it new about 10 years ago. used it causually, never for production work. I think I even have a spare bulb for it. Unfortunately I leave for LA tomorrow AM, but will be back next Monday. Where are you located. I'm in Michigan. ( asking for shipping reasons). I'm here until 8:30 pm E/ST/ Time. today ---Marc Williams .... mwilliams111313MI@ comcast.net

Hi Karl, Stuart give you some very good advice. And, it sounds like Marc has a deal for you. I would only add to insist on the 40MM Focotar lens, which couples perfectly with the autofocus feature. I'm in the same baot as Marc, i.e. I do med format and 35mm but fortunately I have room in my darkroom for two enlargers, the V35 and a Durst. Good Luck

Marc,

If it doesn't work out with Karl for the V-35, e-mail me. I'm in MI.

Also, your e-mail bounced a couple of times.

Best,

Jerry

I, too, have what you are looking for. I was about to list it on ebay, where I bought it 4 years ago. I've never used it as my plans to build a darkroom have gone unfulfilled. It is a Focomat V35 enlarger with autofocus head and the color module. It has the Focotar 1:2.8/40 lens. The original manual is included (two copies in fact). The enlarger is in excellent condition, though I can not attest to the condition of the lamp. It remains in it's original shipping carton and is available for your purchase. Let me know.
