V x C D's

What are vxcd's. I tryed to play the type of vcd on my dvd player and it doesn't play. My dvd player playes all dvd that are coded 1 and it plays mp3 music cd's but it doesn't play vxcd's. any help? Thank you EIBO SATO

XVCDs are disc formats that are not standard VCDs. Maybe the bit- rate or the pixels are different. I've created several XVCDs, SVCD, and mini-DVDs, all of them can be played on my SAMPO DVD player. It's not expensive and it plays almost all the formats of disc. Maybe you can buy one.

What model is your DVD player? I recently had a discussion with a guy where he found out that his Toshiba DVD player doesn't support VCD at all. It could be that your player doesn't support XVCD, but usually players that support VCD will play XVCD.
