Melissa, how's the weather?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

Melissa, Tom's mother (who lived most of her life in or around Youngstown) said the last major storm of the winter usually occurred on or around her birthday, which was March 18th. Just curious how things are going there? We had a bit of a chuckle today as we are having snow today for the first time in over a week, after a week of mild, sunny weather. We said to each other, "Here's Granny's birthday snowstorm!"

It started out rainy and cloudy this morning, but right now there is just a hint of sunshine. The temps are in the mid 50's. I was able to run to the mailbox without my coat on. I hope we have seen the last of the snow, but I really can't complain this year as we have not had much bad weather at all. Here's to "Global Warming" Ha, ha!!! Wait until July and then I will probably wish it were in the 50's again...
