Hughesie's Contract

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

".co.uk" reports that Aaron Hughes has finally signed a new 5 year contract, keeping him here until the end of the 2006/07 season.

Judging by his quotes, Aaron is well pleased, indicating he would to happy to finish his career here - nice, unaffected blerk.

my hero

always had lots of time for Northern Irish players, what with Ben being qualified to play for them, at this rate he will be our most capped player in about three years time, and will break our record number of appearances around his 33rd birthday

some players in our side are beyond question long term fixtures, the list lengthens but Shay, Hughes, Dyer, Jenas, Bellamy are the players I'd be happy to see still in the side in 4 or 5 years time, with stacks of winners medals to their names !

sorry he's never going to be a footballer, F1 car designer maybe, but he is as close to sporting excellence as Hall and Shepherd are to being the next Pope

I also like the look of B'burns spaniard Jordi, Look I know, but he could not be worse than the one we already have for playing games could he?

Could he?
