Original Benser Case FS

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

I have an Original Benser case for Leica M with strap that I'm interested in selling. Anyone want to make me an offer? Very nice shape, just a few splits on the rubber shoulder pad (from age more than use), otherwise mint-

Please email me off the list...I don't even know what these go for these days...you'll get a great deal!

BTW, I found you could leave the lens hoods on for most of the Leica 35's (12504, 12585) without reversing in this case, and it will even squeeze an M5...

Oh, *that* Benser case. There was also one that held a Leica M, or even two of them I guess, depending on the inserts you had. It has various inserts for lenses, film, filters, etc. It packed a lot of gear into a small space, though without padding. The only problem was that the lens had to be removed form the camera to slip the camera into its insert. A dealer in Frankfurt talked me out of it, because of this shortcoming. The camera comes out without a lens, not ready to shoot quickly. Still, I sometimes wonder how I'd have gotten along with it.
