Haiku are little 3 line poetry type "thingies"! The first line has 5 syllables, the second 7 syllables, and the 3rd line has 5 syllables. Kadia had to write some for school about nature. I thought they were very good. See what you can come up with!

the old branches creak,

the squirrel gathers his nuts,

and hides them away

fly, butterfly, fly,

small insect of bright colors,

gorgeous in the sky

******************************

waves rolling around,

oceans are peaceful and sound,

they are full of life

wide, wide rolling plains,

a groundhog pops his head up,

he sees his shadow
