Something for the weekend?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

It's been a while since I've seen a weekend thread (mind I've not been around much)

Anyho... the advance posting of team pick threads up past Easter indicates that Geordie is off on hols. 2 weeks skiing/boarding in L'Alpe D'Huez.

I expect to return with us in the top 3 and anticipating a semi-final match :-))

Going for a beer after work tonight with a mate and then it's down to my new house where I will be enjoying the countryside and fresh air this weekend....

Well, up for what is a very important game the morra: out for dinner at some friends' house tomorrow evening - hopefully to celebrate.

Apart from that chilling out to recover from actually doing some "work" this week!! Got suckered into a preliminary consultancy assignment that has me on the horns of a dilemma. I could talk myself into a significant project that would tie me up for months with loads of bloody travelling - and much to the delight of the Inland Revenue. My preference right now is to offer to undertake a limited assignment only - to at least pay for my holidays. Well, you can do too much yer knaa! ;o{)

Keeping an eye on the Paddy's Day thread to see if it's safe to go out on Sunday.

Quite one tonight, might watch boro beat liverpool tomorrow lunchtime, before having a house warming party and general moan with some people from work about the new wanker boss at work.

Avoiding pissed up college students, listening to tomorrow's webcast, cat-sitting, trying to catch up on the sleep I've lost all week due to downstairs neighbor indulging his inner rock star in the middle of several nights(He should really keep his day job).

Visiting music shop while son buys first electric guitar (bang goes my sanity and our relationship) and then visiting Stamford Brook to watch Chewsea and the Mackems, willing them both to lose. Sunday, doing a 20 mile road race at my athletics club in Hackney (to see if I still can), followed by very long sleep.

Surfing Waimaea Bay or Haleiwa on the North Shore of Oahu on Saturday with world longboard champion Bonga Perkins, spend the rest of the weekend patching myself up and recovering assuming I survive. Prior to that will use the webcast of the match to try and calm the nerves and stop me from soiling my shorts through anticipatory fear.

Friday at the pub celebrating a friend's birthday. Saturday the match and wasting a fair amount of money on intoxicating liquids at Whitley Bay. Sunday is the day of rest and playing 5-a-side and doing some work possibly.
