Hi I am a newbie and so far I am not real impressed. I signed on to correspond with more poodles people. So far most of what I have learned is there is allot of know it all's . I was reading one day and found this one person ( will not mention her name ). I privately emailed her& asked her where she lived and did she offer stud service.I explaned all about my apricot poodle, who is four years old...That I wanted to breed...And that I do not want to show my poodle even though I was told that I could do so... All I wanted was to beable to get another little girl to love and spoil.. If anyone wanted to show one of her puppy's that would be great... I also explained that I was retired and had all the time in the world to devote to my poodle and puppy's. I did not tell her that I used to go to dog shows all over Washington State and talk to breeders and different Vets., nor that I have a medical background myself.I did tell her that my little girl was Vet. checked for all disease's and xrayed to see if she was big boned enough to have puppy's.. She came back with a clean bill of health.. And I AM in contact with not one but three Vets.You see she is only 8 1/2 inch's tall and weighs only 5 pounds(I call her my little piglet)...This person not only emailed me twice with nothing but bitch sessions about me (and I quoke)my back yard breeding)and that I was not a responsible pet owner, because I do not and will not belong to one of the poodle clubs and that I was this horrible person that would not spay my dog...She told me that she would give me the names and address of some of HER FRIENDS THAT BREED AND THAT I COULD BUY FROM ONE OF THEM.She even posted the second bitch email she mailed to me on PSG...I know of her concern about the real small poodles having puppy's. But like I said I have had her checked out..MY VET'S SAID THAT I COULD BREED HER IF I CAN FIND A STUD THAT WAS SMALL LIKE HER AND WAS SMALL BONED AND PROVEN TO THROW SMALL PUPPY'S...I still don't know if I really want to put her though all the stress. I was just checking out if I could find a stud... And I have ...Don't know if I will breed her but I did want to have that option...I know that different people have the right to their own opinion but why be a bitch about them...Why not just try to be nice, not a know it all...And I do know that people call their female poodle BITCH's but I want to let everyone know right now that MY LITTLE GIRL IS NOT A BITCH BUT A LITTLE LOVE AND MY BABY...And the love of our life...
