Well, I suppoese the SoS was always going to be a non-starter. The FA would have to plan for all eventualities, including an@rse vs Smogs match. That couldn't really be played at the SoS so for planning purposes, OT was safest bet. Should made the journey to/from NE interesting mind!!

Apparently SoS is to small

That's a 6am start for us poor lads/lasses on the wrong side of the pond. I guess I am not going home that night, if we win it might even turn into a 24hour session.

Well, if we do squeeze past Arsenal (and I don't think it will be anything other than a squeeze) then our record in Cup SFs at Old Truffle is pretty good. Dare I say that we would flush the Smogs down the chemical toilets and whistle our way to Cardiff?

And OT is but a couple of miles away from my house - the semis we've been in have been like home games - if you know what I mean.

Trouble is - IF we beat Arsenal and then beat the Boro we will have to play Chelsea probably. Not something I would look forward to. Imagine if we got to our 3rd final in 5 years and got beat again! God life wouldn't be worth living.

I have serious problems with regard to this noon kick off. I mean when did we last win in London in daylight?!!

-- Anonymous, March 13, 2002

I have serious problems with a 7am(for those of us on the wrong side of the pond who at least had the sense to live on the closest coast ;- )) ) ko. Means I probably won't be seeing it at all. bah! Still, we must win because the semi will most likely be available on ppv in my area.

Though I did laugh hysterically when I saw the confirmed time as I pictured Arsenhole turning red as the team kit with smoke pouring out of his ears. :-D

Hmmm - I guess there's not much chance of a bar in Hicksville USA showing it live at 6:00 in the morning. Huh - see if I care :-(

I know Screach.

I'll set my video up as a Webcam and point it at the telly. You can watch on Messenger. :o))

And here's me thinking that the East Coast was 5 hours behind GMT, not ahead. Guess I'm not a sophisticated jet-setter like ol' Minnesota though...

Oh dear, I'm going to have one of those days aren't I? I'll just give up now.

-- Anonymous, March 14, 2002

If the legendary Minnesota Fats rode into town at 6 am, tied his horse to the rail, barged into the saloon (carefully avoiding being knocked over by those swinging doors), slammed his 6-shooter on the counter and drawled "switch the tv arn bust'r" a response might be forthcoming. (or fifthgoing). It might blow your cover if Coronation St came on though ...

Would he be wearing those trousers of time thingies as well as the embroidered weskit? I never could get the hang of those trousers (clearly), they've got far too many legs.

-- Anonymous, March 14, 2002

What - wor Minnesota - with chaps tightly bound to his legs?????

Presumably with a stallion between his thighs as well? Oh stop it - you'll only spur him on.

And please don't mention his poncho - people of a sensitive disposition might be reading. Nah, probably not.
