Did anything interesting come out of the BBC Radio 4 discussion yesterday?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Repossession : One Thread

I couldnt listen to it so was just wondering if anything interesting came out of it. I have seen Tonys thread wheer the Halifax talk about the 6 year rule.

Thanks

Lisa, As far as I'm concerned, no. The Halifax representative said "Well, only a small minority of mortgages end up as repossessions and shortfalls" So that's OK, then. "We don't undersell." Yeah, right. "If you left a new address with them, they wouldn't wait nearly six years to contact you." Funny how they just manage to trace you at the last minute.

Hope things are OK with you.

Does anyone feel that Halifax factually misrepresented itself and/or its real stance on repossession, underseeling and/or shortfall claims? If so, it might be worth complaining to the Broadcasting Standards Commission. Their details are available via the web.
