Neat Seam Ripper!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Cooking & Crafts : One Thread

I found the neatest seam ripper! It has a magnifying glass attached to it! For those who have noticed that the stitches are getting smaller (LOL), it's great! It's made by Dritz and I found it at www.nancysnotions.com It costs $3.98 and, from what I can see, you could remove the glass part and put it on a new seam ripper!

Now, if I could figure out how to sharpen those old ones..

To sharpen your seam ripper, wrap 000 or 0000 steel wool around a crochet hook or pencil. Holding the seam ripper in your non-dominant hand (left or right) and the pencil or crochet hook in your dominant hand, move the pencil or crochet hook with steel wool wrapped around it in an upward motion. Do this to each side of the "blade" of the rippers. Emory paper will also work. Of course, seam rippers are so inexpensive, you could just go buy another and wear a magnifying glass around your neck. Good luck.
