I have just purchased a TOKINA CANON CAMERA 100mm-300mm AF ZOOM LENS 1:5.6-6.7 lens via the internet... Will it work on my Canon EOS 3000...

thanks

If (as it appears) it was the tokina lens designed for Canon autofocus cameras, then yes it will. It may have been better to ask the question before you purchased the lens, but you should be fine.

When you get it try and attach it. If it attaches and focuses your set.

Have fun

I would double check that the lens is able to focus properly. I just purchased a 80-200 2.8 tokina lens for my EOS 3 and found out it didn't work. I, like you, figuring that the lens was EOS compatible, wouldn't have any problems. Thankfully this forum determined that there was a chip compatibility issue betwen the lens and the EOS 3's electronics. The Tokina lens however works absolutely perfect on my EOS Rebel 2000.

Thus proceed with caution.
