Five Englishmen in an Audi Quattro arrive at an Irish border checkpoint. Paddy the officer stops them and tells them:

"It is illegal to put five people in a Quattro"

"What do you mean it is illegal?" asked the Englishmen.

"Quattro means four" replied Paddy.

"Quattro is just the name of the car" retorts one of the Englishmen. "Look at the papers, this car is designed to carry five people"

"You cannot pull that one on me " replies Paddy, "Quattro means four and you have five people in the car and you are therefore breaking the law."

The Englishman replies angrily "You idiot. Call your supervisor over."
