Hello I have an Apricot Toy Poodle, she is almost two.Most of her hair is soft and fluffy but there are some strans that are course and brittle she started geting these strans when she was about 1. The course and brittle strans are brown and her normal hair is apricot. If you have any idea what is going on I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I bred and showed poodles for quite a few years. You are seeing the guard hairs, which are coarser and darker than the regular curly undercoat. If the skin is damaged or injured in any way, the spot will grow back all dark guard hairs and can take up to a year to grow back the same color as the rest of the coat.
