A Pair for me, I think.

CUP rules say 20% to visiting fans = 7700 should be available

-- Anonymous, March 11, 2002

We're getting 6,200, the whole of the clock end and one end of the west stand. (bit to the left of usual away section for those who know highbury). Cheers Stu

Early reports (and the stadium PA) claimed that our match at Highbury would be a 3pm kickoff on Saturday 23rd March, but we understand that live TV transmission is being considered for a lunchtime slot, with the Ayr v Celtic Scottish Semi moving to our now-vacated 5.35pm slot, now we're not in action at Ewood Park. Confirmation of the kickoff time will be sought asap.

The Semi-finals are to played on Sunday April 14th, (our game at Derby being postponed if we are involved) and both will be televised. According to dot com. Who's going?

Sadly, I can't join you this time at Highbury Mystie. But I'll be back for the Smoggies match.

Now .com are reporting that we've agreed to Saturday noon ko, but now Arse are demanding to play on the Sunday which we are refusing. Another case of Arse being difficult?

Dot com says season ticket holders should just apply anyway, and find out date and time later, which is fine for us London based ST holders, but a bit of a bugger for the handful who live in Newcastle. Does anyone have any experience of applying for away tickets before dot cock announces it on their web site? Will they just ignore my application forms, and maybe continue to ignore them after the 'drop dead' date, or will it put me in pole position? And can I apply for my end of season Southampton tickets now, so I can get myself on telly cheering Big Al as he lifts our second cup in a week? Answers please, on the back of a postcard.

Newcastle confirmed a few minutes ago that the Arsenal match is a Noon start on Saturday 23rd March.

Tickets are £24 (£12 concessions) and the closing date for ST applications is this Friday - 15th March. I'm applying for mine RIGHT NOW We always win in London

I've gotten hold of a spare ST away game application form, having already applied for my two. Anybody want me to mail of the spare application for them? Need a VERY QUICK ANSWER 'cos Friday's ST deadline day for Arse tickets.

-- Anonymous, March 14, 2002

If there's a spare going anywhere, i'td be much appreciated.....

cheers

-- Anonymous, March 14, 2002

I'll try for you, bonny lad. Fingers crossed.

-- Anonymous, March 14, 2002

Cheers M.

Stu? Repeat the Spurs ticket favour and maybe the lads can repeat the result...?!

;-)

SOLD OUT. Let's hope we all got what we wanted via our ST applications. Should be impressive, 7,000 nutters at Highbury (and one or two of our lads)

-- Anonymous, March 15, 2002

Gav, Min, bad news boys. Just got a call from the missus to tell me that I had two S/A envellopes delivered from NUFC. Great I thought, three tickets, especially when the first one she opened had a ticket in it (obtained using a mates application form). Unfortunately the second envellope contained a Dear John letter, ie no tickets 'cos of excessive demand, and that was using my own ST application forms that were posted two days before the successful application. So sorry guys, I'm afraid I've let you down. If you're still keen I'll keep trying via alternative sources, but I've already seen begging letters on the London Mags email list. I can't believe that they've sold 7,000 tickets so quickly, with ST holders still unable to get one, especially with the game in London and on telly. ANYBODY OUT THERE GOT ANY SPARE TICKETS? GAV AND MIN NEED ONE EACH, IF ONLY SO I DON'T HAVE TO DRINK ON MY OWN.

-- Anonymous, March 19, 2002

Wow they've really been snapped up haven't they!

No worries man, thanks for trying!

-- Anonymous, March 19, 2002

I might, repeat MIGHT have a spare, I'll probably know by tomorrow morning. Ill let you know as soon as poss.

-- Anonymous, March 19, 2002

Cheers dave much appreciated regardless of whether it turns up or not...same goes for you baldy :))

-- Anonymous, March 19, 2002

Don't get too gushy Gav, he might give it to min!

-- Anonymous, March 19, 2002

Got mine but I am getting grief off the boss already, I've suggested that her & the kids come with me and a babysitter which brought a change of mind but I am still not 100% sure. Life used to be so simple.

-- Anonymous, March 19, 2002

oops

-- Anonymous, March 19, 2002

bloody hell what have I started

-- Anonymous, March 19, 2002

Gav, thought you meant Screacher. Just realised you meant me. Haven't checked in the mirror lately, but I thought it was getting a bit draughty up there. Maybe it's time for a visit to a rug specialist. Mind you, Min hasn't slagged me off yet, so this is gonna be a difficult one if I get a spare. Nah, probably not, it'll be Mins.

-- Anonymous, March 19, 2002

pardon me for interrupting but.....

Cheers for all the efforts etc - if anything turns up then fanatstic but Gav was first and he can beat me up so after you marra....!

;-)

-- Anonymous, March 19, 2002

Howay min, I suspect that you must be visiting Gavs gaff when he is at the football. Not like you to give in without a fight!

-- Anonymous, March 19, 2002

Gusty...you're a right trouble maker!

Cheers min, lets see if one turns up first :)

-- Anonymous, March 20, 2002

Right Gav, you're on - sorry Min there was only 1 spare in the end (and I could've sold that one 15 times over). Gav, if you and Terry fancy it we're meeting in The Bailey which is about 200 yards north up Holloway Road from Highbury corner (Highbury and Islington tube), we'll be there from 10:30ish.

Also, seeing as my gaff is only about 15 minutes from the ground me and the missus are serving post match refreshments to attending grieving geordies, anyone on this BBS who we meet at the game is more than welcome to attend. We did a booze run to Calais recently and there is a LOT of alcohol to get rid of.

-- Anonymous, March 20, 2002

Brill Dave, I'll be there, for all three. ie pre-match throat looseners, the victory at Highbury itself, and of course the post- match victory booze up at chez Dave's. Now all we gotta do is get a ticket for Min. Anybody?

-- Anonymous, March 20, 2002

Looks like your in min, we all know where Gav will be from 1030.....

-- Anonymous, March 20, 2002

Lucky b@stards all of you :-(

-- Anonymous, March 20, 2002

Cheers Dave your a star! Terry, how are you getting up to the pub? i'm coming into Waterloo if you wanna meet up and travel over from there...let me know...

And where exactly will I be gusty? :))

-- Anonymous, March 20, 2002

I'd ignore Gav and make your own way, Terry, otherwise you'll end up in a black cab for 2 hours ;-)

-- Anonymous, March 20, 2002

Just make sure the cab boot closes before you set off

-- Anonymous, March 20, 2002

Good point Pete. Might be easier/cheaper just to walk alongside Gavs black cab. I can always push off sharpish if the crawl becomes a dead stop, and still get to the match on time. Gav, I'll be going via Silverlink overground from Richmond to Highbury, then walking up the Holloway Road, so best if I see you there in the Dave designated pub, where of course Dave will be waiting with the beers lined up. Cheers Dave, make mine a double :-))

-- Anonymous, March 20, 2002

At the pub from 1030 of course Gav, now I understand you are going through a transformation, but if you are allowed out to play with your mates that will include drinks!

I feel sorry for min now, he has the same choice as you had, go around to your lasses or go to the game :0)

-- Anonymous, March 20, 2002

> go around to your lasses or go to the game.....

errrrrr......

no contest. See yous all in The Bailey from 1030 then....

[no offence Gav, marra!]

;-)))

I hate living in Sydney .. days like these are what football is all about .. you lucky lucky gets . Sink a few pints and sing yer hearts oot for me .

-- Anonymous, March 21, 2002

Right 10.30 it is....Dave, i don't suppose this pub opens any earlier does it? I don't think the smithfield pubs open early on a saturday and i've got my drinking head on :))

Sting, I will indeed have a pint or two for you mate. You just concentrate on saving the rain forest ok!

-- Anonymous, March 21, 2002

I'm not even sure it's open at 10:30, I just need to dish out a load of tickets and wanted to be within walking distance of the ground - I can picture a couple of hundred mags sitting on the pavement drinking cans of Tennent's Super.

-- Anonymous, March 21, 2002

There'll be three at least Dave

-- Anonymous, March 21, 2002

I'd better bring some with me on the train then :))
