did anybody else enjoy their stuffing today? yes, it was against the less appealing Chelsea, but i can't forget that pre season article which helped us all realise Hoddle was a wise manager and Robson had it all wrong!

Tottenham played terrible today...I hate Chelsea though, so i think it's a shame they won.

What a dirty game, too.

Being beaten at home like that by "derby" rivals must smart a bit. Serves the smug Spurs gets right although I'd have fancied our chances at OT against Spurs better than our chances against Chelsea (assuming we get through).

In all honesty, I wanted Chelsea to win it. Of course I'd prefer them both to lose but sadly it's not possible.

Ferdinand should have gone after 3 minutes anyway, and Spurs could have had three sent off by half time.

I was just thinking about Hasselbaink as well. If Chelsea finish 6th again and we get a CL spot, a cheeky £15m bid for him could be good.

Imagine Hasselbaink and Bellamy as a partnership - pace, movement and finishing as well as good leadership qualities. Also someone good in the air to finish off Robert and Solano's crossing. As an attacking force we would be unstopabble. (I'll just wipe the dribble off my chin now :) )

On the 5live phone in the Spurs fans are really wailing about their ageing team, Ferdinand, Sheringham, Anderton etc. Hoddle must have done something in a past life to deserve this.

Didn't Ruud Gullit want to buy Hasselbaink? I agree, he'd be some acquisition and if Chelsea fail to get into the CL, they'll surely have to sell a player or two....

The Spurs fans may be blaming the age of their squad, but their being undisciplined tw*ts didn't help..

I was trying to find that article online comparing Hoddles brilliant buys to Bobby's rubbish! but I couldn't. I did find the link below however. Fans posting who will be the bargain of this season last August. It's worth a look.

Here's a taster:

Big spending doesn't always mean wise buys. Watch out for another year of bargain buys from Peter Reid and Sunderland. His track record is second to none with Gavin McCann and Kevin Phillips costing £500,000 each - both are now England internationals. Don Hutchison was inspirational last year for only £2.5 million. One of the less savoury aspects of a game of unsavoury aspects was GLS showing 4 fingers to the Spurs crowd several times. If that isn't inciting crowd trouble I don't know what is - apart from kicking their WB on the shin and getting sent off, that is! Bloody tosser.

Maybe it was the number of coins that had narrowly missed his head?
