Can anyone direct me to a breeder of Poitou dairy goats in North America?

Thanks,

I have never heard of any here in the US. I believe that they are bred in Europe, but are rare there also.

Might try this connection, I could not get the link to work: North American Baudet du Poitou Society, PO Box 1127, Millbrook NY 12547 (USA) e-mail baudet@fuzzywunkle.net

I have not heard of this breed, but then i am entrenched in the world of dairy goats. The link/address to the organization mentioned is a good start. I would aslo try going to www.goatworld.com and looking there, there is a complete list of goat breeds listed. Good luck. I'd be interested in knowing more myself.

Poitou Goats

I know of some Poitou DONKEYS that were imported to the U.S. (at great expense), but I don't believe there are goats here. You might check with the American Dairy Goat Association
