Would any of you like to learn "homestead worm ranching"?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A Country Singletree : One Thread

As most here now are aware that I am a medium/large scale worm rancher, I am making this offer. If some of you want to begin vermicomposting, we can follow the technique that I presented in the Sept/Oct 2001 Countryside. Your start up costs would not be over $15. Of course to achieve the low dollar investment, it does take time and some special attention to properly cultivate a herd.

We could run it as a weekly renewed vermicompost chat thread for general discussion and individual threads for particular questions.

Let me know if ya'll are interested.

Jay, I've been lurking for a while. I'm not single, just a homesteader, but I would really be interested on the worm ranch thing.

Best wishes

Jay, I'm not single either, but I sure would like to know about this as well, maybe in relation to raising rabbits also. Is that OK? I am a homesteader also, and a lurkyloo here. Thanks!!

Thats fine. This site isn't for "singles only". It is only intended to be more geared to single person issues We are actually just CS members that come here for easier catorgorizing of threads and to find some info pertinent to one person homesteading and being able to effectivly handle what for many were two and three person homeplaces.

I'll start the worm raising postings later tonite.

Jay, Don't forget the part about putting the saddle on the woolie worms and riding the range to round up them worms. A worm stampede, oh no look at the mud fly!!!!

Sorry, it is my impulsive side coming through. I'll settle down now and be good. Heeeee, haaaaa, heeee

Jay, thanks, I have wanted to raise worms for fishing, and maybe sell some to other fishing folks around here.
