Filters on Arsat 35/2.8 PC lens on Nikon

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Camera Equipment : One Thread

I just got myself an ukraine made arsat lens with Perspective correction/35/2.8. I have tried fixing a UV filter and a Circular polarizer, this does not work. The outer ring gets into the frame. Is this normal? am i not suposed to have two filters at one time? I use Hoya. Any one using this lens?

Stacking two filters is the cause of the vignetting, especially on a 35mm lens. Go with only ONE filter at a time--the polarizer when you want it, or the UV filter the rest of the time.

A few companies make thin filters specifically for wide-angle lenses. They're more expensive, but they might be worth the money you spend, to get higher-quality photos.
