Finally we get our winters snow! It never fails to snow on my Birthday, I guess that is one reason I like my birthday and snow. I haven't been out this morning so I don't know what we have that is measurable. The wind scews that part a little. From my window it looks like maybe a foot. Still VERY sparse for this part of the world but it sure makes this time of the year much more fun. It seems that no one minds these early spring storms, we know that they won't last and generaly this time of year there is NOTHING to do. Now I can go snowshoeing or skiing.

Chores should be exciting too!

Glad you got snow. I got a good garden rain (with nothing planted yet) and MUD !!! Guess my wiregrass "crop" will love it.

Wow snow. I really miss it. It just doesn't feel right around here without snow. Wish we were having some. Haven't gotten much rain either. We're now on drought restrictions. - Sheryl

Sheryl, The fire danger here is pretty bad too! The fire season if almost upon us and I think I heard that there was already a fire in one of the forests. This snow really isn't that much only about a foot. The wind is what makes it dangerous today. Travel is not advised. My youngest son and I went to town, about 20 miles away, the main roads were good but with the wind and blowing snow you could not see the road, whiteout conditions at times too. The weathermen have been lying to us all winter, so it is nice when they really do get it right on occasion. This is the first real snow of the winter and probably the last.

My area is under a Blizzard warning. Only about 9" of snow predicted. Also a high wind warning. Both of my wind gennys are maxing out in these 40-50mph winds!!!! Very good time to hunker down!
