Audio stream for VCD/DVD karaoke

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

Hello

Can someone advise me how to prepare audio for DVD karaoke project. I understand that I have to have two audio streams in order fully conform with karaoke function. Please kindly advise me the best audio format and the process of building this project. Many thanks in advance and hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely, Lita

You may need to save your sound files to 48KHz, 16bit, Stereo. Your source video files must contain "Music-Only" sound streams and then be encoded to vob files. In a simple DVD authoring software, "DVD Junior", you can import "Music+Vocal" sound streams to be added to your vob files as "Sound 2". The software also lets you add switch buttons to turn on "Sound 1 (Music-Only)" or "Sound 2 (Music+Vocal)".

Hello

Many thanks for your respond and advises. I had just purchased a copy of DVD JR from Mr. Tung in Southern California and hope this will facilitate my need. Once again, many thanks for your advise.

Sincerely, Lita
