Lolo speaks: I had a good match and we miss Craig Bellamy

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

I really haven't got the heart to translate this just now but will do so tomorrow morning. Suffice it to say, he had a good game and that we miss Craig Bellamy desperately and that we are working on getting on the end of his crosses in training.

In fairness, he is fairly upbeat etc and doesn't say too much about the team apart from the fact that we weren't in it defensively and had no real cutting edge in attack.

Will do full job tomorrow as I've a plumber coming.

If he thinks he had a good game then I am very worried.

Thinks he had a good game??? He had a great game of hide n' seek nee fecker could find him. The arrogance of this man is mind blowing, he is a great talent however he is on the same lines as ginola in turning it on when he wants too. I hope bobby speaks french and gave him a french roasting. Put Bernard in there and teach the twat how to put some effort in.

How can he think he had a good game FFS? Beyond belief. He should stand up and be counted - he'd get a lot more respect if he did.

If he thinks had a good game then I watched a piss poor, average player in a number 32 shirt.

That's simply a DISGRACEFUL comment. He didn't find ONE single player with a pass that i can remember. His work rate was appalling, his attitude pathetic. Is it any wonder Pires is ahead of him in the French team and he can't get into the squad. He was our worst player. by a long shot. In a match where only Distin, Given, Solano and Jenas came out with any credit whatsoever, he should take a long hard look at himself and answer the real reason why we lost 3-0....

YOU DIDN'T PERFORM YA STUPID BUGGER!

FFS...

grrrrrr

Lad at work was raving about Jenas though....ooozes quality...

As far as I can work out, he says he had a good game and tried some decent things in attack but at the moment we can't score. We miss Bellamy's presence up front.

Asked about him and Distin - I'm sure Dougal can sort this out - I think he's claiming Distin did a lot of defensive work on the left, and that he (Robert) covered for him when he was out of position. The goals came from the other side (ie blame the rest of the team) and he and Distin did their job correctly. If I'm doing him a disservice in bad translation, then sorry, but he certainly isn't holding up his hands and saying he had a mare.

He's also asked if they need to forget about the Arse league game ahead of the cup tie. He says no, we need to use it to our advantage and try and gain revenge.

Although these comments are not exactly encouraging for self- criticism and all that, it's hardly surprising.

Big French stars have huge egos and will not let anybody tell them they aren't great. Look at Arsene Wenger, he defends his players no matter what, he won't accept that his team make bad decisions or make mistakes. It's just the French mentality, and I'm sure Bobby Robson knew all about it when he bought Robert.
