Can anyone tell me what a fair price would be for an LHSA Leica M6 in brand new condition?

For last month, this month or next month? ;-)

I've seen them go LNIB around $2,300-2,400. Many dealers still selling them for $2,600. Buy a M7 instead

Check with Rich Pinto in NY at www.photovillage.com. He always has good prices on Leica equipment.

Dealers sell for $2595 - $2695. You can try Tamarkin. He had a bunch of them in the past and may still be offereing them. ? Maybe the 0.85X version is $ 100 more. This is the price with USA passport warranty. You should expect to pay a few hundred dollars less for one in like new condition (unused) but without the USA warranty.

I personally would not recommend this camera (or the Millenium or other black paint M5TTLs) if you expect it to appreciate in value. They made too many of them in black paint finish. It you prefer this finish in a camera to use and don't mind the premium price it is fine.
