I tried to convert an avi to a vcd using Nero. When I play it back, all I get is a black screen, but I do get audio. I have used this method to convert avi's before. What do you think could have happened?

i am also usin nero but i have no such problem, what verson of nero r you using, i am usin 5.5 with the mpeg 2 plugin (of KaZaA) try updating you software couldnt hurt??
