To be a fly on the wall...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Beyond the Sidewalks : One Thread

I've lately been musing about being a fly on the wall in various rooms...(to eavedrop on conversations). I have decided that (since this is hypothetical anyway) I would like to be a fly on the wall in a room, overhearing Dorothy Parker, Oscar Wilde, and Mark Twain chatting. Do you suppose those quips could kill? Or perhaps a fly on the wall overhearing Noam Chomsky and Phyllis Shlafly. Do you suppose my head would snap at the neck from the constant twisting from watching the volleying?

Any people/conversations that you would like to overhear? (Ugh, not Bill and Monica, please, although they seem to have hit the headline hit parade again this week..)

Just searching for humor, I guess.

I keep thinking and thinking on this one, and I just can't come up with anybody! I can think of lots of people that I would like to have a conversation with, though...

John Muir, Gifford Pinchot and Teddy Roosevelt discussing the pros and cons of putting that dam in Hetch Hetchy. (This is the dam that broke John Muir's heart and he died not long after it was built.)
