However....Sporting Life says he IS suspended for Saturday! Mmmm.

bans usually come into effect 2 weeks from the offence. Maybe it's 2 weeks from now for this disrepute charge

BBC say he IS suspended for Saturday, Opta Soccer say he is available!

Sporting Life now say he CAN play, wish they'd make their bastard minds up.

?? I was just on Sporting Life and they're saying it starts March 21.

Ceefax say he will be out on Saturday - if Arsenal do not appeal.

-- Anonymous, March 06, 2002

They'll appeal, they always do.

-- Anonymous, March 06, 2002

I heard on sky that Wenger will appeal as he says that it is "harsh"

-- Anonymous, March 06, 2002

actually he's got 2 weeks to lodge an appeal.. then set a new date by which time it will be next season

-- Anonymous, March 06, 2002

seemingly its harsh coz as a big club they get picked on and they are from the capital

confirmed tosser

I want Man U to win the league ahead of Arsenal (assuming we don't win it of course)

Man U are always going to attract the big names. If Arsenal fail AGAIN, Henry might start to think about a move, as Vieira already has and that's one less team in the pot.

If they drop to 6th next season, Wenger will be off as well, and they'll have 30,000 in a huge stadium

Oh, if only :)

My faither has been working on the health and safety aspects of the planning of the new stadium and has concluded that it's a mammoth cock-up in the making and that they will be over-stretching themselves badly. I'm interested to learn that Liverpool have pulled out of building a new ground. Probably think they can nick Everton's new ground while no one's watching.

BBC says:

Henry will now miss the Gunners' FA Cup clash at Newcastle on Saturday, as well as the Barclaycard Premiership matches at Aston Villa and home to West Ham.

yes.. by not appealing he serves hi ban for matches that they do not need him for.... very clever

-- Anonymous, March 07, 2002

Yes that's quite right Geordie. Presumably, they realise they won't win any appeal, and reckon they can beat us without him anyway.

Shame a certain Mr Shearer stopped him from decking the ref!

-- Anonymous, March 07, 2002

What exactly is the situation ?

Teletext says it's the W.Ham, Sunderland and Charlton games he'll miss.

Anybody got the definitive version ?

according to the fiver:

Terry Henry's three-match ban will begin with immediate effect, after Arsene decided not to lodge an appeal with the FA. Henry will now miss the Gunners' FA Cup clash at Newcastle and the Premiership matches at Aston Villa and at home to West Ham.
