Informal O' practice (plus PTOC meet) this weekend

greenspun.com : LUSENET : orienteer kansas : One Thread

PTOC has a meet at Weston Bend (new map!) on Saturday. A couple of SLOCers are coming to the meet and will spend the night in KC then do some training Sunday.

We'll probably do some sort of light training at Weston Bend after running the regular meet. Sunday morning we'll do some practice (not yet sure where).

The sessions will be informal and designed for orienteers who can do a Red course.

Look for more details here on the OK discussion pages in the next few days.

It looks like we'll do a session at Wyandotte on Sunday morning. More details (like a time and meeting place) will follow soon.

We will meet at 10 a.m. We will meet at a parking area on the west side of the lake. The parking area is about 300 meters south of the marina. It is a bit north of the new library. If you are going north on I-435, take the last exit before you come to the Missouri River (I think it may be called Wolcott Drive). Go southeast from the exit on North 93rd Lane. N 93rd Lane goes into the park. We will meet at the parking area on the south side of the intersection of N 93rd and the road that goes around the lake. (I think there are some softball fields at the intersection).

Welcome back from Portland. I'll have to miss the extracurricular stuff. Need to head back from Weston Bend to pickup the Brew-to-Brew packet back in KC, then run the relay with Dee and the Rhodens Sun., then back to KC that evening for Damon's hockey playoff game. See you Sat.
