Hi gail, If your only doing a couple of kids and have plenty of time to reheat it between horn buds , it'll be fine, I'm sure there's people that use them everyday We use the Rhinehart x3 and have very good luck with it but we really pay attention to the iron being hot enough. The next iron we get will be the x50.
