I would like to know how to get rid of all the other stuff and just print the text when I bring up information on the internet.

Hi Fran,

Great question!

First thing is look at the website and see if there is a printer friendly link. A lot of sites include printer friendly links to just give you the text and not a lot of other stuff.

If there is not a printer friendly link then the best way to do this is to copy the text into a word processing document and then print the word processing document.

Steps... Go to the website that you would like to get the text from...

Highlight or select the text.

Go to the edit menu and pull down to copy

Open your word processing program

Open a new document

Paste in the information

Print

Sometimes this will not give you exactly what you are looking for depending on how the website was created and how the text is formatted.

One way to clean up the text is to use a neat little program called TextSoap. This program scrubs the text to remove formatting that you do not want. You can download the program from http:// www.unmarked.com

Have a great day,

Lane
