Howay the lads at Anfield

Right - I think I've got yesterday out of my system (sort of - Man U and Leeds drawing helped!) The countdown to Wednesday is on. Despite my concerns about the team without Bellamy and Dyer, I'm just pleased we've got another game to focus on. IF we get a point then it would mean 4 points from 12 and for that i would be happy.

We've surpassed expectations this season and I just hope we can keep the momentum going and finish in the CL.

My previous trips to Anfield have not usually been happy affairs ( last time Coca Cola Cup 1985) However who knows, we're due a win! Maybe Dyer will get back soon, maybe CB will recover sooner rather than later - whatever, lets get behind the lads. I for one can't wait for Wednesday ( I think!)

Btw - I don't think Bergkamp meant it!

Oddly enough, for the last 2-3 months, while we were having a great (almost unbeaten) run, the media completely wrote us off, now having lost to Arsenal, Singaporean TV (lovers of Manure) have come up with "Newcastle, should they win at Liverpool have the easiest run in and could be considered favourites......."

An odd weekend, should we win at Liverpool (sorry, I am pessimistic), we're going to need a lot of goals, this PL's going down to the wire.

We can almoat just go 'all out', Leeds having drawn today - I (personally) would rather finish 4th. (and still in the CL), than 2nd. on goal difference.

Maybe I should sleep on that last statement?

Well Bud, there's a fair chance of you sleeping on that last statement if I judge your sobriety correctly ;-)

BTW - Derek sends his regards. You're the only BBSer he'd met before he got his fill in the Straabeery yesterday. You've obviously trained him well - he put in a sterling effort at the bar! First time I've met a real spy, mind!

4 from 12? 4 from 9 surely. I believe we can win at Anfield - I had us down for - S'lan - draw, Arese - Lose, Loonypool - Win.

What's all this then Screach, " if I judge your sobriety correctly", didn't you know it was Lent?

As for Del Boy, isn't it a dead give-away, always being 'undercover' of that green cardigan"?
