Today, March 2, we members of the Catholic Church family honor, in a special way, the following friends of God -- saints whose souls are now in heaven:

St. Absale
Bl. Angela of the Cross [Angela Guerrero y Gonzalez] (Spanish, poor factory worker, foundress of Congregation of the Cross, d. 1932 [beatified 1982])
Sts. Basileus and Jovinus (Roman, martyred c. 258)
St. Chad of Lichfield (English, missionary monk in Ireland, abbot, bishop, d. 673)
St. Charles the Good (Danish, prince, count, crusader, reformer of laws, patron of the poor, walked barefoot to Mass daily, martyred by beheading in church in 1127)
St. Cynibild (English, brother of St. Chad, missionary, 7th century)
St. Gistilian (Welsh, monk, c. 6th century)
Bl. Henry Suso (German, nobleman, Dominican prior, mystic, spiritual writer, d. 1366)
St. Heraclius (Italian, martyred c. 305)
St. Joavan (British, monk in France, c. 570)
St. Luke Casali (Sicilian, abbot, c. 800)

If you have anything to share about these holy people, please reply now -- biographical episodes, prayers through their intercession, the fact that one is your patron saint -- whatever moves you. If you are interested in one of these saints and want to find out more about him/her, please ask. Information is sometimes available on the Internet.

All you holy men and women, saints of God, pray for us.
God bless you.
John

Dear John: Wish you come here more than tentatevly. Your posts were always appreciated. There is even a thread I WISH JOHN WOULD COME BACK. But of course , you know all that. According to the Gospel when a Christian in made fun of, persecuted, derided ...it is a good sign: we are on the Lord's steps.

Animo, amigo, y ĦA LA CARGA!!!

Enrique
