"UFO" inside viewfinder

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

This is a somewhat odd question. I just finished taking some photos at a friends wedding with my M6 classic and I noticed that a tiny piece of fuff/paper (1mm diameter) has lodged itself on the inner surface of the front viewfinder window. It is not obstructing the viewfinder when I look through and the rangefinder remains well aligned. I do not think that this "UFO" will interfer with the camera's function; however, I wonder when/how did it get there?

Any help and advice greatly appreciated.

Tommy.

The M6 (or any M for that matter) isn't well sealed against dust or water. As long as it doesn't interfere with viewing then don't worry about it and just shoot. Maybe make a note of it to have the repairperson remove it at your next CLA.
