Crackers For Melissa

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

Melissa! For crackers I just make a regular biscuit dough. Sprinkle with salt and or pepper and or garlic. Then roll them out very thin. Cut into whatever shapes you like and bake in a low oven. About 300 degrees. These are good with any spices on top. Even lemon pepper is good. Being a Cajun, I use garlic, black pepper, red pepper and just a touch of salt. Store in a container that's almost air tight and they stay fresh for a long time.

Sounds good David, and simple too. I love hot, spicy food too. I hope you can later post some other recipes for us. Thanks!

David, this sounds easy, about how long do you bake them?

Cooking times depends on how crunchy you like them. I have a hard time with exact recipe ingredients and cooking times as I never measure or time anything. Sorry! My idea of a good recipe is add some of this, more of that and cook till about done.
