Today, March 1, we members of the Catholic Church family honor, in a special way, the following friends of God -- saints whose souls are now in heaven:

St. Abundantius
Sts. Adrian, Hermes, and 22 companions (African, martyred c. 290)
St. Albinus (French, abbot, bishop, d. 549)
St. Antonina (from Asia Minor [Turkish], virgin, martyred by drowning c. 306)
Bl. Bonavita (Italian, Franciscan tertiary, d. 1375)
Bl. Christopher of Milan (Italian, Dominican prior, prophet, d. 1484)
St. David (Welsh, prince, missionary priest, archbishop, founder of monasteries, c. 601)
St. Eudocia (Samaritan, repentant courtesan, martyred by beheading probably in 2nd century)
Bl. Jane Mary Bonomo (Italian, Benedictine abbess, mystic, d. 1670)
St. Roger le Fort (French, nobleman, bishop, d. 1367)
St. Simplicius of Bourges (French, bishop, d. 477)
St. Swithbert ["Apostle of the Frisians"] (English, Benedictine monk, missionary, bishop, died in Germany in 713)

If you have anything to share about these holy people, please reply now -- biographical episodes, prayers through their intercession, the fact that one is your patron saint -- whatever moves you. If you are interested in one of these saints and want to find out more about him/her, please ask. Information is sometimes available on the Internet.

All you holy men and women, saints of God, pray for us.
God bless you.
John
