Timebomb 2000 - Behind the Berlin Wall

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unk's Troll-free Private Saloon : One Thread

Seems the inmates at FatOlsonLand have taken umbrage with my occasional characterization here of their walled city as a home for "kooks, fools and morons". So much so, that they have racked their tiny little minds to ensure that their "enemies" (their word, not mine) IP addresses are banned from even looking at Timebum (apparently they've never heard of proxy servers, It took me 45 seconds to change my IP addy).

His fatness himself sent me this e-mail: "your username and IP's were banned because of the hatefulness with which you continue to spew toward others."

Hatefulness? Just an occasional larf at the expense of the crop circle, planet X, chemtrail luvin, criminal-supporting folks. Seems they’re still mad at me about being right about Y2K...

-- Dennis Molson (dennismolson@hotmail.com), March 01, 2002

Answers

How can you be banned from looking there?

And what's wrong with spewing hatefulness towards others?? Several TimeBomb residents do that on a daily basis. I wonder if he'll ban INVAR or Patrick next. LOL.

-- (what@a.maroon), March 01, 2002.

INVARiably STUPid was the guy who once said that he "was looking forward to seeing some dead pollies after the rollover". This is the online society that needs protection from me - a guy who justs wants to laugh at them - not see them dead...

-- Dennis Molson (dennismolson@hotmail.com), March 01, 2002.

Flint seems to be having a good time over there. Of course it is like shooting at a 5 ft bullseye from 10 ft. He will get bored.

Best Wishes,,,,,

Remember now how you pissed me off Pro. It was the clumping deal. You know. How ya tend to clump folks. The moment probably focused on a friend of mine. OldGit maybe. Must admit I did the same but here in 2002 your clump don't smell so good maybe cause it isn't fresh. The puppy you liked to whip died with Y2K unless you need it. That it Pro? You need it? You need to fuck with people? Better to check your Canadian equivalent of you 401K. Time better spent...honest.

Give Olson credit. His forum posts a ton to our ounce largely because it doesn't tolerate bushwack.

-- Carlos (riffraff@cybertime.net), March 02, 2002.

Carlos:

Perhaps you'd like to rephrase that in the English language?

What clump don't you understand Pro?

Wanna fight? Claws up bud.

Don't feel bad Pro. You didn't give yourself away you were blown by a 'friend'. Your crowd. You figure.

Snort Snort! Anxiously scratchin at the ground. Feel like one of Dog's best dogs. Bring it little boy......please bring it.

You there Pro?

Y2K Pro has a friend???

Wow, that must be one pathetic fool!

-- lol (idiots@love.company), March 02, 2002.

Dennis Molson, perhaps you should take some initiative in your life. Fully learn the English language, then you won't have to ask others to explain it to you.

Hi Olson, er carlos...as usual, yer not makin' a lot of sense...

"His forum posts a ton to our ounce largely because it doesn't tolerate bushwack."

A ton of crap about crop circles and planet x from people too afraid to debate their detractors. This impresses you?

-- Bob Bildeberger (back@intheday.com), March 02, 2002.

Poor Molson...just can't fit in anywhere. *sniff sniff*

It seems you can dish it out, but you can't take it. Typical bully/whiner behavior.

I've participated in a few hearty and invigorating debates on Timebomb. Guess you keep missing those. But hey, when you click on only the chemtrail threads, well gee that's all you're going to get.

-- (cin@cin.cin), March 02, 2002.

Hey Cin, have you sent your money to Stu's defence fund yet? You'll want to make sure he can get his silencers back for his handguns and avoid prosecution for stealing from an honest business. How proud you must all be...

-- Norm (behind@thescenes.com), March 02, 2002.

What I've seen on TimeBomb is that crop circles, chemtrails, tenth planet, etc stuff is either ignored by those who don't believe in them, or refuted in a relatively polite way. I often disagree with security measures taken there, but as a guest I abide by them.

Reminds me, several of the posters there are anti-vaccination -- they're going to get their wish. Vaccine manufactureres are discontinuing production due to near-zero profits and a high exposure to litigation. TimeBomb links to home remedies for measles may become useful. :(

-- helen (vaccines@chemtrails.y2k.and.bread.recipes), March 02, 2002.

"Reminds me, several of the posters there are anti-vaccination "

People over "there" are anti-everything, why is that a surprise? They are also the first to believe, with religious fervour, every single stupid conspiracy theory that floats down the sewer.

Z:

Maybe you're right. But while the targets are too big to miss, the challenge isn't hitting the target, it's getting the target to notice! Success consists of getting someone, anyone, to consider any other viewpoint, rather than simply chant slogans, cite Received Wisdom, or even just tune it out.

Understand, I'm not trying to get anyone to agree with me. The goal is to elicit some indication that the points I make have been understood, that someone actually used their own thoughts rather than someone else's when they responded.

ROFLMAO Capn~! Amen to such arrogance! Sheesh, I worked 14 hour days, 6 days a week, every weekend, and every holiday for fourteen years~! Personally, I was glad I wasn't out among the a**holes during the busy times! Instead, I got to watch their antics! LOL! While I no longer work as many hours at my job, in the workplace, I still continue to work weekends and holidays as the need requires. After all, in the USA, we are pretty much a 24 hour consumer driven environment. We made it that way. If the demand wasn't there, none of us would have jobs. Although most days, I wish there was NO demand for my job!

-- Aunt Bee (Aunt__Bee@hotmail.com), March 03, 2002.

Perhaps ya'll will want to support silencer Stu in getting off stock free - I understand he "worked" weekends as well..

-- Dennis Molson (dennismolson@hotmail.com), March 03, 2002.

Ok, Dennis M., I understand your unhappiness with the Stu defense fund. I read some of his posts that seemed to clearly give instructions for making silencers. Friends of mine in the leo-biz say that's illegal, and I believe them. Giving to the Stu defense fund was voluntary, and I voluntarily withheld donation -- no one gave me a hard time about it. I'm not going to receive a personalized thank you from Stu, but I see no reason to put the rest of the group down if they decide to contribute to his defense. He himself is probably not a threat to mankind, but in my personal opinion it was irresponsible of him to post silencer instructions to an unknown audience. The argument could be made that the information is already "out there", and he didn't do anything that hadn't already been done. I'm not even sure what the charges are against him, but based solely on what I read of his silencer posts, I prefer not to get involved. And my shorts aren't in a twist either. (Suggest that I need psychological help, and my shorts will be twisted around your neck in a non-fun encounter. We all have our failings.) But really, you take the stuff there too seriously.

-- helen (wage@slaves.buy.lottery.tickets), March 03, 2002.

LOL Capn, ewwwwww!

Don't bite the hand that feeds you, and never never piss off or mistreat your waiter/waitress until AFTER you get your food.

Well perhaps you should. Stu was caught stealing from the Denver Broncos. When they searched his van they found it full of unregistered automatic weapons and handguns, many outfitted with silencers.

This is the guy your compatriots are defending, morally and financially. The attitude seems to be that as long as you are a doomer, you can lie, steal, cheat and carry around an illegal armory - "it's OK to steal from the sheeple".

It's OK to drive around with a van full of guns designed to kill people - if they're only sheeple - it's probably their own damn fault.

"I prefer not to get involved"

I've heard that before...

-- Dennis Molson (dennismolson@hotmail.com), March 04, 2002.

I think you're doing the "guilty by association" thing, Molson. That would be the same thing that Dennis Olson did to ME for posting HERE. I don't buy it, here OR there. I feel free to post anywhere *I* want. I don't care what others think about it.

People send money to "causes" with which they agree, if they have the money to send. Some folks on TB2k feel that Stu was framed. Others think he was stupid to have a bunch of guns in his van, but feel so strongly about the 2nd amendment as they interpret it that they feel a desire to help. Personally, I wouldn't give money to my own kids if they were arrested.

Bob Barr is asking for money also. Should I criticize all conservatives because some contribute to his fund?

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), March 04, 2002.

Anita,

I believe you are missing the point - which was Olson's desire to "ban" me from looking at his Web site, while at the same time supporting a common criminal like stu.

The fact is that I have not seen anybody over there call out stu over the fact he is a thief. They all seem to believe that the guy is somehow a victim. The attitude seems to be that all behaviour is acceptable as long as you are a "believer in the principled cause of conspiracy"

Does SOMEONE over there have the courage to call a spade a spade?

-- Dennis Molson (dennismolson@hotmail.com), March 04, 2002.

Molson: *I* post over there on occasion, and I wrote Dennis in an E- mail regarding these "fund-raisers". *I* questioned ALL of them. It's simply not for me to say where people want to put their money. I don't KNOW if Stu is guilty. I admit that the evidence seems to indicate guilt, but I don't know the full story, and Stu has been advised by his attorneys not to discuss the case. I think he goes to trial tomorrow. Sure, I'd like to take Stu aside and say something like, "Well, how EXACTLY did those Bronco supplies end up in your van?", but I don't know him, haven't posted there much in the past, and I'm content to wait on the jury of his peers deciding his fate.

As a Pollyanna, non-Christian, Liberal, I get in quite enough trouble over there without "stirring the Stu[Stew]".

On this other thing, I've never heard of anyone being banned from viewing. I think you can be stopped from posting, but how can one be banned from viewing?

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), March 04, 2002.

Molson, did you read the original thread months ago? I questioned Stu's integrity. You paint with too broad of a brush.

-- (none@of.your business), March 04, 2002.

"I'm content to wait on the jury of his peers deciding his fate."

I think you summed it up very nicely Anita, THAT is the American way.

-- capnfun (capnfun1@excite.com), March 04, 2002.

Ditto what Capn said. Molson, Stu will be tried in court. Whether you think Stu is guilty or not is really irrelevant. The folks at Timebomb who are helping Stu, are doing so out of the goodness of their hearts. You know, doing kind things has a way of coming back to you in time. If you are ever down on your luck, and there is no one there to help you, I hope you remember all the shitty things you said about Stu, and Timebomb, and realize that you just learned one hard lesson. Don't laugh, it COULD happen.

And Anita: Dennis knows that I post here, yet he is always civil and kind to me in chat. So much for that 'guilty by association' theory.

-- (cin@cin.cin), March 04, 2002.

I'm tired, Molson, so I may have missed your point. You brought up Stu's defense fund, and I said I prefer to get involved -- with his defense fund, that's what I thought we were talking about. I can't imagine what civic responsibility I could apply to the situation other than staying out of a situation that is being handled by the police and the court system and lawyers and a jury in a state where I don't live anyway.

What makes you keep going back to look at Time Bomb?

" Whether you think Stu is guilty or not is really irrelevant. The folks at Timebomb who are helping Stu, are doing so out of the goodness of their hearts."

stu has admitted his guilt on your board - he WAS caught with the proverbial goods in his truck and he admitted it. What is fascinating is that because stu is a "friend" of the board, the board has turned its vitriol against the Broncos (the folks stu stole from) and of course the "gubmint" (they dare to prosecute their stu just because he's a thief)

If stu had murdered a sheeple, I'm sure the board would continue to support him out of the "goodness of their hearts". Such kind and considerate people you wallow with...

-- Dennis Molson (dennismolson@hotmail.com), March 05, 2002.

I rather liked the Jessebelle I need a new truck and chainsaw because even though I'm a doomer who prepared for Y2K, I somehow managed to squander all my money on preps and live in a shack on the side of a mountain in the middle of nowhere and now I have nothing Fund.

Can I gather from your non-answer that you agree that the majority of your comrades at timebum are planet x fearing, chemtrail avoiding, Arab hating, vaccination evading, convict-supporting stooges?

Just checking...

-- Dennis Molson (dennismolson@hotmail.com), March 06, 2002.

I must agree with Molson here on the issue of supporting a common criminal without questioning his actions. Sending money in his defense is over the top in the category of ‘blind stupidity’. To not demean this person’s activities is tantamount to sanctioning his ‘alleged’ crimes. For those of you that post over at that forum without opposing this farce, you should be embarrassed at the least. If you are reluctant to speak up for fear of banishment from posting, then you are just simply:

COWARDS!!!

-- Free (head@case.analysis), March 06, 2002.

Sometimes you help people out because you like them, even if what they did to get into trouble was stupid.

Indeed, it just seems ironic that these were the same people who, before the rollover, were so willing to kill their Polly neighbors to prevent them from getting at their stored "preps."

Molson, since I am none of those things, then I guess not everyone that posts there IS.

-- helen (donate@to.feed.da.mule.instead), March 07, 2002.

Helen, it would appear that you are reluctant to speak your mind for fear of reprisals from members of the forum in question. Would these people be able to harm you physically or just call you names in the course of posting? Surely, a woman who has a close relationship with goats could not be frightened by mere words, could she?

Are you not somewhat offended that this Stu fellow is being beatified instead of chastised for his blatantly obvious criminal actions? If so, where is your personal strength of conviction at this outrage?

If not, there is nothing more to discuss with you. Those who would not take Stu to task for his actions, for fear of banishment from the forum, are lacking in character and need to re-examine their moral priorities.

-- Free (head@case.analysis), March 07, 2002.

It's not a matter of courage, but one of judgement. Helen's judgement is I'm pretty sure what mine would be, if I were a TB2K participant. From what I've read, I don't care for this Stu at all, but leave him to the courts.

-- Peter Errington (petere7@starpower.net), March 07, 2002.

Thank you all. I no longer have any questions regarding this issue.

-- Free (head@case.analysis), March 07, 2002.

Free, don't go yet! I'm ruling! Please stay and let me rule!! Just for another day at least?

Look, I have to tell you that I don't care about the way other people spend their money. I spend mine on feed for chickens I can't bring myself to butcher, for goats I can't bring myself to milk -- and if you saw the hairy teats milk comes out of, you'd prolly switch to soy -- and for a mule I do not get any work out of. Everybody has a financial folly. For some, it's pink frilly underpants regardless of gender. For others it's a gun collection of ridiculous size (you only got two hands, what're you gonna fire the other forty guns with?) (Aw shit, now Flint will get me...)

I'm not afraid anyone on TimeBomb will come after me. I'm afraid the cops will come after the ones on there who post jailbreak messages. If you had paid any attention to what I'm not doing, you might have noticed I stay off threads with obvious law breaking potential. Well, except for mule-kissing, which may be a misdemeanor animal abuse offense...got to check into the law there.

Anyway, stay!

-- helen (ruling@mule.lady), March 07, 2002.

Helen, did I say I was leaving? I said I have no more questions on this issue regarding the unopposed support for criminal actions taking place on the other forum. Other than Molson, it would seem that nobody on THIS forum finds any fault with this either. Has to make you wonder……

-- Free (head@case.analysis), March 07, 2002.

What a relief!

Let the DA handle the prosecution. Let whoever wants to give Stu moral or financial support -- what do you care? He's innocent until he proven guilty in front of a jury, or he admits guilt. Must we protest every donation to Planned Parenthood, the NRA, the Democratic Party or Billy Graham because someone in the organization may be doing something we don't approve of? Who has the energy?

(Do you believe justice has no connection with the quality of one's defense? Do you believe all lawyers are equal in the courtroom and that they charge accordingly? Do you believe in The Mule?)

Better we should all eat icecream and tell knock-knock jokes.
