For some reason my Pioneer DVD-V550(which supports DVD,VCD, and CD) doesn't play my original VCDs or my original music CD. Right now, it only plays DVDs It used to play until recently.

Right now, when I pop in the CD or VCD, it makes a little noise for bout a minute and then it pops the VCD/CD back out?

I tried to reset the whole DVD player function but that didn't work

You might have a unit in need of repair or a firmware upgrade. I suggest you contact Pioneer about this problem.
