Okay, Mitch, try this one:o)

How do you do these without giving away too much? I haven't tried to google-proof this, but maybe you know the answer anyway.

A hen was executed by the court. Tell me when (the year), why, the hen's name, and the method of execution. It is supposedly a famous case, and I just read about it in a book on chickens.

I just went to google...Let me add that this question has nothing to do with any movie that I know of; it was a real occurence.

Isaw something about that a few months ago via stumper searches, but I am too old to remember what it was or where it was. I would guess it was during the Salem witch trials; I can go to a search engine if you do not have the answer. Let me know.

Mitch, I have all the answers. I went ahead and ran them through google and came up with only one response. Yes, it was a witch trial, but this took place before Columbus' journeys. At the google source I found, the name of the hen was listed as the name of the town where she was tried, so that might be mixed up. Go ahead and google to your heart's content:o)

Mitch, I have done just a little more research on this, and have discovered that, although the fact that a chicken was executed remains undisputed, the reasons for it seem to vary. See if this will get you started: How were witches typically executed during the middle ages?

Mitch, have you given up?
