Well we have winter again here in SE Ohio. After Monday being near 70, it got cold again and this morning we had 4 inches of snow and more falling. It is windy, so the snow is drifting on the roads. It is cold, in the teens, but with the wind it feels even colder.

Everyone else is in bed. The kids are hoping school is cancelled tomorrow! I was reading a book called "Life With Father," funniest book I have read in a while. I had a tax customer tonight, who decided to treat the kids with some chips and guess what? a 12 pack of caffeine free coke! Which I haven't had for so long, my mouth was watering, so I had a glass and to tell the truth, it was pretty good... Too much temptation having it right in the house I guess.

Don't forget to sign in at the Back-up site in case this one goes down for good. I want to spend some time, saving some of the information here to some other files and printing some, just in case.

Today I did laundry, scrubbed adhesive off of my plates, ran to the school to pick up Kadia who is working on a project for FCCLA, read a book and did taxes. Kind of boring, I am ready for spring, and winter to be over.

What is everyone up to, the board has been slow lately. I know it is hard to think up new topics sometimes, or has everyone desserted us??!!! I do have lots of items here to post, just haven't gotten around to typing it in. Well everyone have a good night, and don't forget the Thursday weigh in tomorrow...

We have been busy keeping warm here in AL..in the low teens tonight, so we had to bring our onion sets inside and mulch my camillas..they JUST started blossoming for the first time in two years and along comes this nasty weather! We are setting records here tonight..hasn't been this cold in NE Alabama in February for many, many years. They say the low will be near 12 degrees in the morning. We had wonderful news yesterday..my oldest daughter, Amy, was diagnosed with Hodgkins disease last August and has been through some pretty awful times in the last six months..many hospital admissions for complications, etc...anyway, she got the results of her tests yesterday..no more cancer at all! 100% clean bill of health. We are overjoyed and have not had any inkling to do anything but celebrate and thank God for His wonders. The county is widening our road this week, so I have alot of things to look at out my windows all day! Huge trucks pulling up along the pasture and getting filled with dirt about every 5 minutes or so...guess who is getting all that nice free dirt? Yup. We have some low-lying areas that need shoring up, so we have been fortunate enough to have at least 15 truck loads already! The robins are everywhere still...I felt sorry for them today it's been so cold! Our jonquils are blossoming and the back yard is full of these teeny little violet-like flowers..I mean TEENY..they are so pretty! I still haven't finished knitting those socks..LOL...I lost interest and have to force myself to get that project out again and DO it. Well, that's all the news from here ..brrrrr.

We have about 4 inches of snow and a little ice on the ground this has been for about 3 days.I have been cleaning so I wont have to when the weather gets nice again.Today I am going to Walmart and Dollar General to get supplies as it will be above freezing,we are to get an other winter storm tommorow.I think I will dry some fruit today and bake bread.I need to go out and fill bird feeders too.We live in town and yesterday I had a hawk at my feeders. It was small ,I looked it up and I think it was a falcon. We had a lot of robins but I have not seen even one since the snow fell a few days ago.Things are boring here too.I am ready for spring also.

Ah yes, bird feeders. They weren't used for all the warm winter---- plenty of seeds and other stuff still out there----but now, since winter finally came, just as it should have been leaving, the bird feeders are empty. We have about 3 inches of snow and sunshine this morning; six degrees. Another storm seems to be moving this way. I'd enjoy Survivor but our church starts a revival tonight so I'll need to be there. Mending and ironing today. Really a nice day.

Well, I wish it had been slow around here. We are thinking of painting the boys' rooms (one is bedroom, the other is toy room), and buying them some real furniture to go in them, so we've been shopping. I want Lance to build their furniture, but he's busy; after pricing new, though, he's thinking more seriously about clearing a day out of the schedule to build the bed, at least! We did lots of furniture browsing yesterday, four stores worth, and have been caught pondering in the middle of either room trying to figure out what we want to do with them!

I had my hair permed and cut this morning, had to be there at 7:30 so she could be done and to work (my neighbor, she has a salon in her house, but just started at a salon/spa too, so her timing is tighter now). I also had to be done by 11:00 so I could pick up Mitchell at kindergarted. My mother-in-law was off today, so she came over and got the boys ready and delivered to school for me.

The reverse gear on Lance's truck went out Monday, and we had to have a new transmission installed, and also had some oil leaks (needed new gaskets) fixed at the same time that were back behind the transmission where Lance couldn't get at them. Guess we'll be keeping the truck now, after all that cost! At least we know it has no leaks and a good transmission!

It was really nice here over the weekend and on Monday, but come Tuesday I thought I woke up in Antarctica! The temperature was 19*, and the wind was blowing straight through you! It's better today, up around 45* or so, I think, but rain or snow is predicted for tonight, so I imagine I'll be starting a fire this evening!

When it was warm, I was out doing yard/garden work. But boy did it get cold! Kids were out of school yesterday because of ice. Ive been doing a lot of indoor cleaning-two projects we want to do is finish the upstairs batheroom-which we have been using as a storage area, and finishing out the laundry room, also being used as storage- so thats keeping me busy. Plus, I've picked up a little substitute work. I've started seedlings and have little trays of sprouts all over the house.
