Stephane Guivarc'h's career could be over because of a knee injury which has limited him to 11 appearances for Guingamp this season. "The doctors are unable to tell me whether I will be able to continue my career," said the former France, Newcastle and Rangers striker. "My objective now is to be okay for June but if my knee is still painful and if I don't feel I can be 100% of my physical capabilities then I will put an end to my career at end of the season."

Manchester City have signed former Crystal Palace defender Sun Jihai from Chinese club Dalian Wanda for GBP2m. "He can play all away along the back line, in the centre and in midfield as well," said City manager Kelvin Koogan
