The Premiership

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Just reminding you all that "The Premiership" is on ITV tonight at 11:30. There should be a lot on Newcastle and the derby match because all the other matches got coverage on saturday.

No Leeds played and there was the small matter of the Worthy Cup so I reckon we'll not be featured much. Still I'm stopping up to watch it. (well passed my bed time)

Just to warn you that on Saturday Tel and the other c---- just crapped on about ManUre topping the table. No mention that we've got games in hand so are potentially top.

On a bit later than advertised, but was worthwhile staying up to watch just to see the goal again. Odd programme as it had a live audience, with both a Mag and a makem in their team tops expressing opinions.

Townsend was probably the nicest he's ever been about us stating that we were the country's popular choice to win the PL, but that we would probably 'fall short' in the end. Alan Curbishley was even more generous in his assessment.

Best bit was the sycophantic brown nosing of a Charlton fan in the studio. Curbishley apparently got his tactics perfectly right and was brilliant etc etc. Cue embarassed looks from said Addicks manager.

I liked the bit where the Mackem was being interviewed and the kind Geordie sitting next to him dangled his keys in front of his face.

The rest of the country were probably wondering what the hell he was on :)

Apart from Dabz goal and BR emerging from the tunnel for his post- match interview, my favourite moment on Sunday was when they started up that bloody deafening classical music - accompanied by 3,000 Geordies musically dangling their bunches of keys in the air.

Bloody priceless!

Sh*t programme. Couldn't even be bothered to show Bellamy's goal but showed every half-arsed mackem attempt on goal, no matter how wide of the mark.

One for everyone to miss, sorry not miss. There is now a special extra showing of The Premiership on Sunday because they won't be able to show Manure as the main match on Saturday. Have they done this previously this season?
