Carla Emory decided to write a book that contained all known information on homesteading. She worked on it for 20 years and has gotten a remarkable amount of info in one place. It's called "The Encyclopedia of Country Living", an old-fashioned recipe book. It covers EVERYTHING, it is NOT about cooking though she does have some recipes in there like how to make different kinds of cheese, cider, jerky, and other ways of dealing with homestead-type produce.

For the most part, I enjoyed her book but I did find places where she simply had wrong information. Specifically, I seem to remember her recommending that you vaccinate your hogs for cholera..... that would be quite the trick finding that vaccine. There were a few other little things, too but all in all I really like it.
